About First In

Fire Captain–Led. Field-Based. Focused on What Actually Gets Flagged.

First In Fire Compliance is a risk reduction service — not a consultant, not a plan-check desk, and not a generic inspection shop. We walk the building the way Fire Prevention will, on your schedule, before anything lands on an inspector's clipboard.

Industrial park at sunrise — the commercial and warehouse environments First In walks for clients across Southern California.
Meet the Founder

Nick Anthony — A Career on the Enforcement Side of Your Building

First In Fire Compliance was founded by Nick Anthony — a Fire Captain with a career spent on the enforcement side of the buildings we now protect. The problem that drove him to start the company is simple: by the time a citation hits the desk, the cost has already happened — to the schedule, the insurance file, and the operation.

Fire Prevention inspects a building once a year. Operations change every day. The gap between those two realities is where nearly every avoidable citation lives — a propped-open fire door, a pallet lane that drifted three feet, a sprinkler head obscured by a new shelving unit approved by nobody. We walk that gap on your schedule, not theirs.

First In is not an engineering firm, not a plan-check service, and not a generic consultant. It is a field-based risk control layer between your operation and the inspector — run by someone who has spent a career evaluating facilities from the enforcement perspective.

Why First In

Six Reasons Operations & Ownership Teams Work With Us

Fire Captain–led — Every walk is led by a Fire Captain with real-world enforcement experience — not a checklist auditor or a junior technician.
Field-based, not theoretical — We evaluate how buildings are actually used day to day, not how they look on an approved plan from three tenants ago.
Focused on what gets cited — Egress, storage, sprinkler clearance, Knox Box access, hot work, operational drift — the exposures that actually generate violations.
We close the loop — Most services hand you a PDF and disappear. We coordinate corrections with licensed vendors and interface with Fire Prevention when needed.
Defensible documentation — Photo-documented reports built to be shared with operations, property management, carriers, and AHJs without translation.
No product sales, no conflicts — We do not sell sprinkler systems, alarms, extinguishers, or monitoring contracts. The recommendation is the recommendation.
Who We Serve

The Teams Most Exposed to Avoidable Citations

1

Property Managers

Avoid inspection surprises, reduce tenant complaints, and walk into ownership reviews with a clean, defensible record.

2

Building Owners & Asset Managers

Protect asset value, cap liability exposure, and maintain consistent risk control across single buildings or full portfolios.

3

Tenants & Operators

Industrial, warehouse, 3PL, manufacturing, and pharma operations that cannot afford a shutdown or a reinspection cycle.

4

Brokers

Deals that need to close without move-in delays, failed sign-offs, or last-minute compliance surprises at the finish line.

The Core Idea
Inspectors walk the building once a year. Your team walks it every day and stops seeing it. First In is the third party that walks it the way it will actually be evaluated — before anyone writes a citation.
